Door profile
Vertical aluminium or plastic frame that surrounds the glass door.
On frameless glass showers, the door profile is omitted — the magnetic seal sits directly on the glass. On framed showers, the seal sits in a profile groove. Wear often shows first on the frame, then on the seal. When the frame loosens or rusts, replacing only the seal won't help.

Magnetic seal
The magnetic seal is the most common door seal in modern glass showers. Two magnetic profiles attract each other on closing and reliably seal the gap between the door and the fixed panel.
Lip seal
Lip seals are used especially on sliding doors, folding doors and older hinged doors. The flexible lip presses softly against the fixed panel or wall and closes the water gap.
