Duravit replacement strategy

Duravit OpenSpace is a space-saving folding door with three glass segments and a 135° magnetic angle between segments. On wear: universal 135° magnetic seal for 6 mm glass — DOPPOSO Budget or KRAUS Premium both fit. The X1 is frameless with 8 mm glass and a pivot door; magnetic 180° for 8 mm fits straight away. When replacing, fully remove the old profile, clean the glass edge, then snap on the new profile.

How to find the right replacement seal

Measure the glass thickness: with a calliper or ruler at the glass edge. Common thicknesses: 5, 6, 8, 10 mm.
Identify the door type: hinged, sliding, folding or walk-in without door?
Locate the wear point: magnetic seal at the closing edge, floor seal at the lower edge, corner seal in the vertical corner.
Original vs. universal: originals from the manufacturer are usually more expensive but fit 100 %. Universal profiles fit in most cases on Duravit without issues.
