Glass thickness

Standard glass thicknesses for shower enclosures are 6 mm (DIY-store standard, smaller cabins), 8 mm (premium, modern walk-ins), 10 mm (architect-style large surfaces) and 12 mm (rare, custom builds). The seal must match the glass thickness — a 6 mm seal won't fit on 8 mm glass and vice versa. Measure with a calliper at the free glass edge for the most accurate reading.
